| Comments: | i've been researching my mother's family, which leads me to andrew j. hannah, born 1780 in charleston, s.c. he married a woman named mary, born in 1785 in virginia. they later moved to tennessee and then to indiana, where my great grandfather, john larry hannah, married annis ruebottom in 1852 in daviss county. my grandfather, charlie hannah, then moved to arkansas in the early 1900s. i know the family is supposed to be scots-irish, but i haven't been able to track anything beyond andrew j. hannah. anyone who could help? |

| Comments: | I am a decendant of Issac Hanna. In 1846 he and his son Henry Hanna left County Mayo and came to America through Canada. Henry was 13. Two weeks after they arrived Issac died leaving Henry an orphan. He went to New York state and then in 1854 he went to Wisconsin purchasing 80 acres. He married Bridgette Dunnegan who was also from County Mayo. They had 4 children. Lydia A. Carew of Royalton, WI., T.H. Hanna of Stevens Point Wi.,J.W. Hanna of Fond Du Lac, Wi., and Mary E. Hanna of Mannewa. Henry's death occured on 10/16/1902. Bridegette's was 5/14/1917. J.W. (John William) Hanna married Anna Rose Otto and their Son was Mark Spenser Hanna.
